Modern Burger - funny name for a retro place

I used to pass by this place several times as I visit thomas haas for their macaroons 
for a retro diner looking place 
name like modern burger sounds bit ironic 
brightly lit palm tree sign always tempted me to come in
but I never had the chance
this day was no different because 
my company and I werent very hungry 
but we decided to go anyway
out of curiosity 

menu is located on the side of every table
so you don't have to ask for them
and there are basic condiments
like ketchup, vinegar, salt, pepper and sugar
 

white paper place mats 

menu is super simple 
four types of burger patties with only one option --fries-- as a side
but they have quite a few classic drink selection
basic pops
flavoured soda
floats and milk shake!!!  
 

there is a bar stools that gives this place diner-like feel 
that you cannot find many other places
everything was clean but very retro
 

and they had very cool but old looking juke box as well 
 

this is not plain coke! 
but vanilla coke!!
since coca cola decided to discontinue my beloved vanilla coke
i never saw them again 
but boy was i happy to see on the menu here! 
although i like the coca cola version better
it is a great replacement

chocolate milkshake 
thick and creamy and sweet
 

classic modern steak burger with side of fries 
 

the bun was quite unlike I think 
because it had glossy finish and bit dense 
burgers were juicy and added cheddar was wonderful 
but i did not find it special or unique that you would come to the neighbourhood for just this burger 
there were a lot of fries like a lot 
that you can share between two a lot 
fries are the soft thick type 

modern burger had some good burger 
but not awwweeesome burger
it is classic nothing fancy but a great place to hang out 
with friendly servers
and clean atmosphere
great place for you if you need a burger
