pho 99 (langley) - good option for some pho

located in same complex as the H-mart in langley 
(across the willowbrook mall) 
there are four locations in total 
but this one is closest to my home 

menu is large double sided poster 
which has all the typical menu you will find in other Vietnamese  restaurants plus the subs 
 

utensils and sauces are located at the side of the table 
which is hot sauce and hoisin suace (my guess i am never sure although i eat them quite often)
 

jasmine tea 
pot is hot so careful

mint leaves, lemons, bean sprout and jalapenos for the soup based noodles
it is on fresher side compared to many others
i know some people who does not like to put mint leaves
which is personal taste
but i think it really does add freshness to the soup
 

beef stew with rice noodles 
spicy broth flavoured with hot pepper oil and other spices 
although it says a stew
it is not as thick 
it is more like the regular pho broth with added spices 
but the beef is quite chunky but well cooked 
and it falls apart very easily 
it is not really meant for pho newcomers 
but if you are experienced and feeling adventurous 
give it a try 
 

noodle soup with round eye steak, well done flank, and soft tendon in small
i.e. pho noodles
i have visited several of my regular pho place and was horribly disappointed by decrease in portion
but this place still has decent amount of chewy and well cooked noodles in them
and if you add plentiful amount of beansprouts
you are pretty full
 

grilled pork and spring rolls on vermicelli noodles 
pork is sweet and nicely charred although some ares are too burnt
spring rolls are very crispy and really hot
you would put the sweet fish sauce ish sauce on the bottom 

and mix well and eat them =] 
 

chicken wings 
i think this is the special menu they have
it is deep friend with just some dry rub 
it very cripy and flavourful
but it is bit dry but the rub taste great 


it is a great option for pho 
regardless of the hard chairs and odd interior
